WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE OF IP67 AND IP68?
   

 

3NM SOLAR BUOY LIGHT

 

 

DWS302TS is a solar marine navigation light that has become one of the most popular solar self-contained buoy warning light in the world because of its concise, reliability, easy-operation and robustness. Its visibility is up to 3NM and waterproof level is IP67 with a Touch Switch. It has widely been used for Marine Marker, Buoy Warning, Ocean Engineering, Port marking etc..

1.What is the difference of IP67 and IP68?


For solar lights,IP67 is the same as IP68.There are three reasons as follows:
• IP means Ingress Protection. The international safety standard for IP is IEC60529.IP codes have the format IP××, where the ×× represent numerals from the coding scheme(see Table 1 and Table 2);

• In all practical applications, it is impossible for a solar light to immerse under water for long time because it couldn’t be charged in such case. So IP68 for solar lights is nonsense.
• The IP68 expression in a solar light only be speculation gimmicks and attempts to mislead users.

 

2. Under what circumstances DWS302 with a touch switch  should be chosen?
In order to ensure reliable waterproof, we strongly recommend you to choose DWS302 with a touch switch in Marine Applications such as Buoy, Aqua Cage, Seaport, Ocean Engineering etc..

 

3.Can the remote control be achieved for solar lights?
Yes, these lights can be controlled to turn on/off and adjust the intensity by a wireless controller .
